The music on this recording comes from the wealth of English, Italian, German, French, and Spanish compositions for lute and vihuela from composers of the sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries. These pieces have all been adapted (by me)for the modern classical guitar. Here you can experience this early Western music in a modern idiom.

Greensleeves – anonymous, arr. Francis Cutting
Galliard – Guillame Morlaye, arr. Michael Tillman
The Right Honourable Earl of Essex – His Gallaird – John Dowland
