I have been teaching in the Dallas area since 2000.
I’ve received my students largely from my live performances – either from the students themselves taking an interest in my playing, or from parents who want to start/further their children on the guitar.
I’ve had a very long career of learning with the guitar that has only now culminated in a final semester at TWU with Carlo Pezzimenti, my original study being in architecture at Texas A&M.
Over the years I have learned from people such as Miguel Antonio, Joao Lopez, Carlo Pezzimenti, Adam Holzman, and Olga Vera (of Kithara Duo).
My own teaching revolves around my knowledge from 12 years of performing, and various methods that have proven the most useful – notably Tennant’s Pumping Nylon, the Julio Sagreras Lecciones, and Capuzzo’s Theory for the Contemporary Guitarist.
If you are interested in learning more about the classical guitar, or a more specifically Latin style like the Bossa Nova or Son-Bolero, you have come to the right place.
I am in Denton, but lessons can be arranged if you are from Dallas. If you are from further afield, we can set up lessons via Skype.
